Commissioned Art Just for You

Art That Tells Your Story

Thank you for considering commissioning one of my pieces! I believe that by working collaboratively with my clients, we can create a piece that not only fits their vision but also captures their heart. The end result is a beautiful, tailored artwork that you will fall in love with and cherish for years to come.
My Process
I believe in a collaborative process that ensures that your custom artwork is exactly what you're looking for. Here's an overview of my process:
  1. Consultation - Let's start by discussing your vision for the artwork. I'll ask about your preferences for materials, colours, style, size, and framing options. Together, we'll come up with a plan that aligns with your vision and budget. To help me understand your style and colour preferences, feel free to share 2-3 pieces from my art gallery that you like. You can view my sold gallery by clicking here or all available artworks here.
  1. Progress Updates - As I work closely with my clients to ensure they are happy, I send a photo of the painting when it's 60% complete, so you can see which direction it's going and if you're happy with the progress so far. This allows for any necessary changes to be made before the final artwork is complete.
  1. Finalisation - After we have discussed the progress photo and you are satisfied with it, I will proceed to finish the artwork based on your feedback. I'll continue to keep you updated on the progress and make any final adjustments as necessary. Once the painting is finished, I will send you another photo for your final approval before it is varnished and prepared for shipping.
  1. Delivery - Shipping is included in the price quote for orders Australia Wide. If you are located overseas, I cover part of the shipping cost, and depending on the size of the painting, the additional cost for international shipping will be added to the quote. If you are a Melbourne local I can deliver the artwork to you in person. If the painting is shipped I will provide a tracking number once the artwork has shipped.

What are the next steps?

Choose Your Size
Whether you're looking for a statement piece or something small and subtle, I can help you find the perfect size for your space. Let's chat about your options during our consultation.
If you are not sure about a size of your artwork  I can create a mock-up of the painting on your wall. All you need to do is send me a couple of photos of the wall where you plan to hang your artwork - one straight looking at the chosen wall and one from further away. This will give me a better idea of the space and help me suggest the perfect size and style for your custom painting.

Select Your Colour palette
You can browse my previous works to get an idea of my colour style and let me know which ones you love. However, I would be happy to work with any colour palette you desire.

Pick Your Favourite Style
To help me understand your style and colour preferences, please share 2-3 pieces from my art gallery that you love. You can view my sold gallery by clicking here or all available artworks here. This will give me an idea of your preferred style and help me create a custom artwork that is perfectly suited to your taste.

Float External Frame
Some of my canvases are ordered with a float frame, usually the most popular is a Tasmanian oak frame. If you prefer to frame the piece once the painting is finished, I can assist you in organising a custom frame or you can choose to arrange framing yourself.
Remember, framing is completely optional and it all comes down to your personal taste. Whether you choose to have your piece framed or not, it will look beautiful on its own.

Pricing
Cost for the commissioned piece depends on the size, style and complexity of the theme.
Please note that I take a 30% non-refundable deposit at the beginning of the work in order to pay for time and materials.

Timeline
The timeframe for each artwork varies based on its medium and size. For acrylic paintings, the timeframe is typically between 4 to 8 weeks, whereas for oil paintings, it can take between 9 to 13 weeks. While oil paintings take longer due to the necessary drying time between each layer, the waiting period is an essential part of the process, and patience is crucial to ensure the best results.
