Petrichor

It was warm summer day in Melbourne and I decided to go for a little drive to Dandenong mountains not far from my house. I hoped for a little inspiration and also to cool down and hide in the stunning forest. I was driving through the mountains and enjoying every minute. I stopped at one of my favourite spots there, where I lay down on picnic blanket with a coffee and just observed what was around me. It wouldn’t be Melbourne if the weather stayed the same all day, so as I was sipping my cup of coffee it started to rain out of nowhere. I just watched the rain falling in the forest and immediately could recognise that beautiful smell of petrichor – the smell of soil after rain.
